Auckland Scale Marine Modellers - Waihi Day

Last weekend I drove over to Waihi (1.5 hrs drive from Hamilton) to attend this pond side event. While there I joined as an Associate member. Was most inpressed with both the models and the folk. Good bunch of people, and the pond is very nice for our hobby, if a bit exposed to the NE wind we had on the day. This resulted in a few boats not steaming from their berths at the poolside. Look forward to the next day out at Cambridge (only 15 minute drive).
The club is based in Auckland (1.5 hr drive) and makes day trips to outlying towns, visiting each at least once each year. The ones I am aware of are Waihi (7th Sept), Cambridge (8/9 Nov) and Hamilton (Feb).
Now I have to finish my Koheroa for November.
