----What do you look like----
« on: May 10, 2008, 05:22:23 AM »

As we are approaching 1000 members, I though it might be a good idea to let others know what we look like.

The pictures can be in boaty surroundings or proudly showing your models ( wood & Plastic type  :D)

I would like to start it off by showing my 'Orrible Mug' at the local club, with two of my boats.

Cheers...Ken

And here's my ugly mug - Holding a partly built 1:6 scale model of the World Water Speed Record holder "Hustler".

I placed two photos of me on PS Ruby in my messge of introduction:
Paddleducks > General > Introduce Yourself > Introducing Roderick Smith
One was on Ruby, when I was 17 and it was a houseboat.
The other was on Ruby at 204 Wentworth Junction Rally.
I appear in my avatar photo: as a passenger aboard replica PS Mary Ann in the 2003 Randell Cadell fleet for the 150th anniversary of the original voyage.
At Paddleducks > Paddler Information > Preserved Paddle Ships > PS Mary Ann replica [Australia] (page 2) there is a closer-range photo, showing me steering PV Matthew James to the Ferguson Tractor rally at Wentworth in 2006.  This page also has one of me in period outfit aboard PS Ranger at the 2003 festival.  It also has one of a very-young Sean steering an Echuca paddlesteamer.

There are lots of photos of Sean with Grebe in General Discussion (Large), although he is much older now; also photos of Michael with Sundowner in the same area (and where he introduced himself, Paddleducks > General > Introduce Yourself > Hello Good-thanks).

There are photos of Sean and the trio (all in period outfits) aboard PS Adelaide at the 2006 Echuca Heritage Festival: Paddleducks > Paddler Information > Preserved Paddle Ships > Echuca heritage festival, 7 & 8.10 [Australia] page 1

Hi PD's.....here is the latest snap of me taken at HMA Garden Island Naval Dockyard on the 2/10/1985 when we lifted off the TARTAR or GMLS13 missle launcher from the stern of the DDG HMAS Brisbane [for the first time in OZ]

I am the one in the dark clothing.....to the right of the SNOW FLAKES....[white overalls].... people [professional & naval weapons engineering officers]  :nahnah

From memory.....I was the Senior Foreman in Above Water Weapons @ GID at the time  :hammer...but we don't talk about those things these days .... :nono

Hi All  Not having any photos to hand showing mugs with models here's one of Walter and me at Balloch standing on the newly restored slipway with the "MAID OF THE LOCH" in the background.  I'm on the left and Walter's the one wearing the paddlebox hat.
Cheers from Bob Golder

Hi PD's......Sandy....that is the first real snap I have noted for a model Waverley rudder -  :hammer

1) is the rudder balanced...30/70?
2) is the rudder scaled up...in length?

I can understand your expression of 'your favourite girl'.....she looks great  :bravo - regards Derek
