Center mounted single paddlewheel. INFO WANTED
« on: May 09, 2008, 03:36:45 AM »
Hello, My name is Darrin and I am an avid rc Submariner. I am looking to build an early paddleboat but wanted to do the single wheel types. I remember seeing one in a childrens book on boats but cant find any info on them. Looked like a notch was cut in the back of the vessel at the centerline. Probably about a 60 - 80 foot vessel. Any photos or info would be appreciated.

Darrin

Sorry, but I think that is because you are a new member and won't be able to see them until you have posted 5 letters , or so.

I'll try posting the pictures to your email address, if I can find it.

Cheers  Ken

You have something blocking them.... Either you web browser, your firewall, or anti-virus software. Check that you have Java enabled in your browser, then check the settings in your firewall and anti-virus software.

You're talking about a bootjack stern ferry. Here's a couple photos of the Denver, a section of an article, and a drawing of how the hull looks for a bootjack stern.
