.......Mississippi River Queen......
« on: May 06, 2008, 05:25:23 AM »

Well I've gone and done it now.

I've just bought the 'River Queen' from Ebay.  It's a partially built model and I enclose a few pictures of her, as sold to me. I shall be waiting for the postman to call with anticipation. When she arrives, I hope to report back on the condition and work needed.

I hope to come to you all for advice, as this is my first Paddler, having been busy with Tugs for the last two years.

First off, has anyone built this one before and although originally a stand model, I hope to fit her up with R/C and find a quiet pond in the shade to sail her.

Cheers...ken

She's arrived.

My, how pictures do improve the image !!.  Close up, the condition is of a self build. I can already see that improvements are needed ( and I'm a rank outsider as far as paddlers go!).  A bit of stripping and re-doing is needed here, as well as some modifications to the sailing characteristics.

I have put an enquiry on the 'Plans' section, as I don't have any drawings with her.  Anyone ??

When I get the wood bits sorted, I will keep you informed with the progress.

Cheers...Ken
