Kingswear Castle website
« on: February 26, 2008, 10:43:46 PM »
Hi folks, the March Kingswear Castle website has just come online and the PICtURE OF THE MONTH is a fascinating and inspiring article from John Megoran on the famous leader of the Glyndebourne opera for many years, MORAN CAPLET. who in his youth was a n apprentice on paddlesteamers and an officer in the RN volunteer reserve. His first ship was the litte paddler  FRESHWATER on which he  sailed to Dunkirk unarmed, with dummy guns made from broom handles and canvas with which to frighten the Stukas! These first hand and generaly unreported accounts are truly inspiring, If you read nothing else this week, read this one! regards, Walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.
