Tonight we held the AGM of the Darlington & District MBC, and I have the pleasure of telling you that Scotfriend (Hans Freund) has been elected as an honourary lifetime member of our club.

Hans has supported us in everything we've tried to do to promote paddlers at the club, and even went to the not inconsiderable trouble of bringing a paddler to sail all the way from his home in Switzerland - Definately our most travelled member!

Apart from becoming a great personal friend of myself and Walter Snowdon over the years, Hans has also supported Paddleducks almost since it was created back in the days when we were on Yahoo.

I hope you'll all join with me in congratulating Hans for his never ending support - Often at great personal expense!
