Hi PD's - I posted a few messages to Sandy & John which will be self explanatory....................a certain number of PD members have questioned  :ohno why it has taken 7 years to get to this stage with my build of PS Decoy.....anyway things are now progressing with the removal of No 9 hull frame....

I have wasted one year & countless one foot lengths of 1/8” & 5/32” tubing in trying to maintain the bulkhead – the designer/engineer should be sacked….but who then would finish the project??...........

I have added a few snaps in Decoys folder & will do so as the build progresses.....& yes  according to MS Project calculations via the :computer ... PS Decoy should be on the water on 14/3/2101 - Derek

Hi Sandy….hope Kate is happy with the new galley cupboards…

a) thanks for the tip on CupAlloys 42% Ag…..have ordered as below… the Comsol is fine, however my ANTON manufactured gas regulator….?... yes with o-ring sealing for 2.0 mm OD tube, but the construction is not tube captive so I need a composite temperature form of construction
b) have removed that problematical number 9 hull frame bulkhead from PS Decoy & now will rebuild the boiler & engine on one common base plate…………….I have wasted one year & countless one foot lengths of 1/8” & 5/32” tubing in trying to maintain the bulkhead – the designer/engineer should be sacked….but who then would finish the project??........... I will post a snap on PD’s this weekend
c) from his comments, I know John [bogstandard] enjoyed his engine build & reporting on PD’s immensely… a very talented person [I love his droll sense of humor/wit] & I certainly have taken onboard his advice & comments on silver soldering issue
d) the end of June 2007 is gone………when will you revise your ACS WEB site?

Hi PD's.....just a few weeks ago I suggested that John's bent axis INFERNAL  rotating machine was made from ''''the baking dish''''..but   &  John responded.......NO but part of the washing machine :idea:

So with the need to mix small quantities of epoxy BOG   to repair the damage caused by the removal of number 9 hull frame.....I found the  :no1 container

  the teflon coated cookie tray   but  :ohno  ...I cannot remove   the epoxy BOG  from the cookie container....

I never liked cookies anyway :nah

PS.......as I type  :computer ...the epoxy BOG is curing the mounting feet for PS Decoys combined boiler & engine base..... :music

Hi Derek,
What a plonker, I bet her indoors just loves you.
Your cookies will taste horrid for weeks to come, mind you with all that garlic you most probably wouldn't notice.
I used to buy the smallest plastic flowerpot drip stands in bulk, about 2" (50mm) in diameter. I used them for mixing all my paints and epoxies. Fairly easily cleaned, but when really grotty just thrown away. Costs only a few pennies each (a lot cheaper than cookie trays) and a hundred lasted me for years.
By the way have included a couple of pics, this is where Bandit and myself live. Compact and bijou. :vacat

Just down from the Cup of   is a bloody veriner caliper with a TV display for dimensions

I can only assume that this is for a 'back   check....of dimensions  by Bandit '

I tend to use these I know some people use old tubs and such  but I am always fearful of contamination , and these are cheap

Whats wrong Derek, are you jealous or what of my digital calipers, I suppose you are still using a knotted string for all your measurements.
The Aussies don't rate them because they think they are mini tv's built into a precision adjustable spanner and can't fathom out why it won't pick up Neighbours. Read this next bit very very slowly - YOU NEED TO CONNECT IT TO AN AERIAL.
That will keep him busy for weeks.
Don't tell him too much Peter, one bit of information a day is enough, don't want him going into overload. Good idea by the way.

Hi PD's & goodness  :roll:

a)  :news yes we still have calibrated string in OZ ......quite accurate actually :nah
b)   we also have coat hangers that we PLUG into our digital display adjustable spanners in an attempt to improve the screen clarity  :boom
c) no self respecting OZ member would watch that  CRAP "Neighbours" .... as we are too busy watching ten year old repeats of the cop shop show "The Bill"   .... Reg is still there after 20 years

We now see where you are going wrong, Bandit says that the string is too thick and the knots are 0.006" oversize.
I also notice that you are using the Mikimoto grade of coathanger, and it should be the commercially available ones from Marks and Spencers, you know the ones, no colours and bare metal, no wonder you are having so much trouble

To get back on the straight and narrow, digital verniers are now that cheap at about £8 (2 squillion $Aus) its not even worth replacing the batteries. I just pick up a couple every now and then when the boss drags me out shopping.

The doorbell just rang, so I went to see who was there..... I was greeted by a man dressed in a white coat who said he had received a phonecall from a concerned member of Paddleducks, and he needed Johns address urgently - Seems it was a dire emergency!

He also mumbled something about having to hurredly arrange a busmans holiday to Australia as there was another urgent case that required his attention......
