As some of you know I have a love of boat and also have a model of it but have found information on it quite scant until I came upon the South Australian library site as listed below
http://www.pictureaustralia.org/apps/pictureaustralia?action=PASearch&mode=search&complete1=true&attribute1=subject&term1=Captain+Sturt+%28Paddle+steamer%29
This shows an amazing 18 photos of this boat. It also shows that I have made the hull incorrectly and will have to correct it but such is life.

Here's a direct link to the state library of south australia listing for pictures of the Captain Sturt.  There are a total of 43(don't think the first one will work though).  Some of them will be double ups of ones in the previous thread.

Hi PD's....& thanks Excelsior... the link to 'View of SW Captain Stuarts engine room from the ladder' is very interesting....PRG 1258/1/472

We can see to the right [STDB] a twin cylinder horizontal engine, however to the left [PORT] we see a smaller bore size [assumed as a twin cylinder horizontal] engine which appears to be mechanically linked back to the main engine  :?: or it could be simply a horizontal interconnecting steam line [without lagging] :?:

Other pictures called 'the engine room' are I believe steam driven water pumps

Parsons simply quotes....'stm eng balanced balanced poppet valve type, 200hp connected direct to stern wheel'

Excelsior,
Thanks for the extra link. These other photos show more detail again.
