CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME?
« on: April 25, 2005, 02:39:11 PM »
Ok here's the deal, I have an assignment on the Mississippi flood of 1993 and need nice bits of info for it. Now I thought this topic might be down someones alley from on here so if you know any websites or info on the topic please post it on this thread.

Your help is greatfully appreciated!
Sean

After the flood I took a tour of Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa to check out the damage. It was pretty bad on the Ohio and Missouri Rivers, but it really did havoc all up and down the Mississippi valley. You can go to Google.com and type in 1993 flood and get an unlimited source of info on the flood.

Hi Sean - I looked your question & dismissed it - but one of the great things about this PD & the previous PD site @ Yahoo was that we have 100 or something members around the world & TBJ certainly came up with the goods 1993 floods on Google etc

There were other Yahoo groups "Scale Ships etc etc' with 1200 members  etc, but most responses to questions were really XXXX & in many ways did not answer the questions

Another advantage of our smaller numbers is that we can joke a little & have fun so don't worry about opening the keg of gun powder with the ratings issue - & it is on good report that our TONY in NZ was not only demoted from PURSER to Stoker, but was also KEEL Hauled at the same time!!
