Yes you've begged an pleaded for me to load them and here they are, They're not the best shots from the trip (I took something like 300) but its some of the variety of our Steamers here in Aus!

Of course you can use them, but please give me credit where credit is due....like in a book (and if you write a book, make sure I get a copy    )

So they're in the photo gallery waiting for you right now!

See them now

Australian Paddlers - Folder by Sean
« Reply #1 on: April 15, 2005, 04:45:51 PM »
hi Sean - naturally we Australians feel that something special in our hearts when we see a snap of an old OZ paddler & certainly me a first fleet convict direct decendent [yes and sometimes with a largish cleansing glass or two of Australian ale when viewing our riverine treasures]

Eddie - I am not sure of the best advice here for Sean, but should he not consider a Folder eg "Australian Paddlers by Sean" or the likes?, and also you may wish to nominate .jpeg file sizes to optimise the snap view size here @ our Paddleducks Photo Gallery etc

Good snaps Sean & I hope to see many more when Eddie advises the best way to go etc - regards Derek

The only prob I have with sizing is that I had to use the digital zoom on my camera, which when pictures are large become very grainy, so, I dunno what size works best yet...I'm working on it!

But I have more pics, if'n you be wanting them...I have like at least 600-700 from previous trips as well

What can I say...I love photographing steamers, and when you live four hours from the nearest steamer (not including the one in ballarat) I need the most memories I can snap!

Well thanks for looking at em anyway!

Sean could have created a special folder for the images when he uploaded them Derek. There are limits for the filesizes already setup as well, 1024 * 768 and a filesize of 2Mb are the maximum allowed. Though obviously we'd prefer people to limit the size of their images to a few hundred Kb if possible, otherwise the server will quickly fill up!

I hope that covers everything, but if there are still further questions feel free to ask....

Just to clarify how you create a new album to group photos together, when you go to the Photo Gallery, click on "Album Admin" at the top left of the screen.

Then click "Add Album", enter the Album name and description, and then click on the "Add Album" button at the bottom of the page.... DO NOT change the album to "Private" as no-one will be able to view your photos if you do!! Well, no-one except me! :-)

It sounds a lot harder than it is - it only takes a couple of seconds to create a new album, and once it's done you will then be able to select it when you upload your photos.

If anyone has any further questions, just yell.... The PD team of moderators and administrators are all here to help!
