SPECIALIST MODEL BITS SUPPLIER.
« on: December 01, 2006, 09:04:51 PM »
Morning folks. This is an interesting site. While not aimed specifical at model boats, it has a wealth of useful bits and materiels which you will get nowhere else. It is mainly aimed at professional modellers and architects, buot will supply the public. their selection of etched brass items is massive and reasonably priced and they do etching to order so anyone wanting a complete set of wheels has only to send a disc with the drawings on and they will do the rest. Carefull, it is an enourmous site, with lots of little corners and will take ages to browse. Hope you like it.
The company is called 4D model suppliers and the web adress is:

www.modelshop.co.uk       Have a look. Regards, walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.

Hullo Walter..... have you not heard of the White Australia   :gather Policy  :?: ........ that WEB site you mentioned was offering a senior full time sales position @ 15,500 UK pounds PA

In OZ, our 15 year old kids whilst still @ school can get the equivalent rate @ Mackers or......a  :coffee shop to supliment their spending needs

No wonder & thank goodness  :respect2  the best British & IRISH stock .....[convicts] ventured to our land of OZ all those years ago  :nah  :hehe - Derek

.
In these days of having to be "politicallly-correct", should the term "convicts" be replaced by "hand-picked by the best British judges"

Hi PD's & mmmmmmmmmmm... not sure Brian...  ask any Brit today .... would you like a 3 month free sailing cruise to a far off distant land :vacat ???? & even some of the Judges  :gather from the OLDE Bailey would in todays world apply  as they too could need the :sunglasses in OZ

The records from the First Fleet in the Mitchell Library in Sydney don't actually support my CONVICT relative sitting on the blue & white deck chair sipping a Gilby's Gin.... but we in OZ have forgiven those  Judges ........long long long ago

:towel  :beer - Derek - a relo from the humble convicts on board HMS Scarborough

Unfortunately (or possibly not, if you own a buisiness) in this country you have a choice, work for the pay you're offered or, stay/become unemployed and try to survive on unemployment benefit, there's plenty of people desperate enough to work for less.............

...More on topic though, I mostly do use 4D Modelshop these days as the others around here (Radio Active, D.J.Models) and those further afield (Harrow Model Shop, Maritime Models etc.) all seem to have fallen victim to the publics preferrence for 'ready-to-run' items from the likes of Toys'R'Us.......
Seems the only 'traditional' model shop I can actually visit now is the one at Chatham Dockyard - not an easy or quick trip for me  :?
