I think it's fairly obvious to all concerned that tempers have flared over this issue! We gave the opportunity for people to vote and decide what you wanted to do with these 1:1 builds, but that hasn't sorted the problem... First let me say that we're all here because we enjoy paddlers, research, modelling, and yes even 1:1 builds, so please lets try to get back to what we enjoy...

To that end, I feel that the simplest solution is to create a seperate message area so the topics can continue as they clearly do interest quite a few people, but others simply don't want to read about them... And before anyone jumps on me saying "that isn't what was voted for", yes of course I realise that, but sanity must prevail for the good of all concerned and for the future of Paddleducks! Creating this seperate message area will also mean that members who subscribe to the email facility don't have to take the messages either if they do not wish to.

Whilst this solution is never going to please everyone, I hope you will all agree that it will at least allow a choice for all concerned.

The previous topic on this issue has been deleted. It served no useful purpose. Since a decision has now been made to have a seperate set of message areas, so let's move on, and continue to enjoy paddlers of all descriptions - After all, that's why we're here isn't it?
