Anyone on the forum who uses 6mtrs please?.   Getting a new handheld and just wondering whether or not to get one which includes 6 mtrs.

I found 6m about as busy as 2m ssb .6m ssbccan be good at times even with a hb9cv I had some good contacts,but you could go months without one this is all some time ago ,as I had to stop using any RF equipment above 1w for health reasons  G0PAH  Peter

Thanks for that info Peter - I'm pretty certain now that I'm going to go for the VX6E which has 2mtr and 70cms only - I think that will be ok for me.  the rig has a very good frequency coverage so I reckon I'll give it a try.  I managed to download the full manual yesterday - it looks alright, a couple of the things it will do will not be of much interest to me but generally it seems just the ticket.  Sorry to hear about your medical restrictions but I suppose you will still be able to monitor various bands - that's quite an interesting hobby in itself isn't it?  Thanks again Peter.
