Hi all,

Over the next few weeks Paddleducks will be moving to a larger host.... This move will give us the space we need to expand, and also eliminate a lot of the restrictions our current host places on us, thereby allowing us to add new features that have previously been impossible...

I cannot be more specific on when this will all take place, but there may be a short period (maybe a few days) when Paddleducks will be unavailable. So don't think we've vanished into cyberspace, we haven't! There may also be a period when the site is back online but some things may not work correctly, so please be patient while we work through all the issues... All the hassle will be worth it in the long run!

Well, the main part of the move to our new host is now complete.... The website is up and running, and the forum is sorted. Hopefully both will function correctly if I've done it all right, but if you notice any problems, please let me know!! I can't correct them if I don't know about them! :)

I still have the photogallery to sort, it's not working yet.... But after a day and a half of sitting in front of this damned computer, the photogallery can wait for a little while!

I forgot the chat forum software..... That's sorted now so it works correctly.

Just the photogallery to fix and we're there!

OOPS - AGAIN!!

I forgot to configure the mailboxes for those of you that take your messages via email - I've sorted this now, so you should be able to send and receive messages via email.

I'll eventually get everything back as it was I promise!!

Hi Eddy - my connection on OZ is still out of  VOLTZ, been that way since late PM Friday 29/9 AEST - the only functionality via  PD's is that I can log on to our WEB links - all other  functiond result in 'sorry, but this board is currently  unavailable, please try again later'

Try clearing your browsers cache Derek - Your almost certainly reading in old pages that are stored on your computer.

I forgot Derek, the other thing that could be causing your problem is that your host hasn't updated it's domain name servers yet, so they are still pointing to the old website.... If that's the case it could take a couple of days for the update to take place, just be patient...

Hi Eddy, here is the copied message when I        try to log on to  PD's @ 19.30 AEST 1/10/2006              Â The page cannot be        found        The page        you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is        temporarily unavailable.
 Â
Do any other PD members have this issue?__________Derek

What address are you using Derek? It should just be www.paddleducks.co.uk with nothing else added - That should get you straight to the main website....

As I said, It may just be that your hosts DNS servers haven't been updated yet, it can sometimes take 2-3 days...

I was having a log-in problem and just 'accidentally' stumbled on the solution, I noticed that it said on the 'site not available' page that it said I should try 'www.paddleducks.co.uk' - and there I was thinking that was what I WAS trying (using a favorites/bookmark shortcut thingy created using 'add to favorites' on an earlier visit here.....) Turns out the shortcut was to paddleducks.co.uk/HIGHINDEX .................... deleted the shortcut and saved a new one, problem solved  :D

I'm glad to hear the problem, is sorted Derek.... The downside of course is that we now have to put up with more banter from down under!

Only kidding mate, honest! :)

Hello all, any suggestions as to how I can collect the mail from my paddleducks mailbox through Outlook Express? All I get when I try to uplift is the following

Logon - mail.paddleducks.co.uk  In the Blue Header Box of a pop up window

with:-

Please enter your user name and password for the following server

mail.paddleducks.co.uk&jim.beattie@paddleducks.co.uk

with my password:- **********

then the OK  and Cancel buttons within the window

I've been unable to collect my spam, which generally seems to settle here and nowhere else at any of my other e-mail addresses.

Any assistance greatly appreciated

cheers

Jim
