Presents from around the globe!

Hey everyone!

Today was a fantastic day for me mail wise! (No Bills!)
Today arrived two parcels for me...not one but 2!!!! Very Exciting!

The first was the parcel from Walter containing the book River Boats by Ian Mudie which has now been around the world! It is signed by the members of paddleducks who attended Darlington Model Boat Club Paddler Day and is intended as a thank you present for the APAM articles I wrote and introducing those on the other side of the world to our Aussie Paddlers.

It arrived in wonderful condition (apart from it wanting to be returned to sender...it made it though!) and I'm lookin forward to reading it, I previously had a copy of this book but you could not read it as if you opened the book pages would fall out, so as such I never had a chance to read it.

So thank you to the PD's involved with the signing of this thank you book especially Walter, I've been incredibly happy to write the APAM articles (which are coming back soon, don't worry!) for this website and this community. Keeping history alive especially with these boats is so important to me and I do what I do not for money or gifts but for the boats themselves!

So what was in the second parcel?
Roderick has kindly sent me some copies of his Magazine Rail News Victoria featuring some great information and pictures of paddlers at various big rally events along the river and I'm looking forward to reading these too! Roderick does a great job with this magazine and it is full of information on trains, trams, paddlers, planes, boats and more! A truly fantastic magazine!
Along with the magazines came a few leaflets for the Swiss Paddlers which have some great pictures of the boats and information as well!

So thank you to both Walter and Roderick!
You've fuelled the fire of my paddlerness for at least another three months!

I'd also like to say thank you to Roderick and Derek who have been assistng me in getting the APAM articles back together for reposting as soon as possible.

They will be back everyone I promise! In the mean time check out my collection of paddler items which I have added to in the paddler collections section!
