It's with great pleasure that I can announce the appointment of "Towboat" Joe Brown as one of our team of moderators.

Joe has been modelling American towboats, both screw and paddle driven, for many years. And he's always willing to share information with fellow modellers.

I'm sure you'll all agree he will be a great asset to the site, so it's a BIG welcome from me Joe, nice to have you with us!

Thanks for the big welcome Eddy. And now since my head has swollen so big I doubt if I can make it out of the wheelhouse door. LOL!!!

Thanks guys. Here's a little humor for ya. A lot of times my nick name gets missspelled as toeboat instead towboat. Every time I see that I have a picture of a giant toe moving along in the water. At least it should be free of toe jam until it gets in a jam, huh!

20,000 comedians out of a job and you guy are cracking jokes. Just remember who put them there, ME!  ha ha hah  har har

I see the quality of humour hasn't improved with the move to the new site Eddy!

Congrats TbJ, we look forward to a bit more balance between old and new world paddlers now!

cheers

Hi  Joe, welcome onboard, you now have free access to the bridge and the key to the drinks cupboard! ( Its empty, Eddy has been there first (many, many, many times)).
Its nice to get you old colonials back in harness. One day you may all realise that the only true way to sail is WITH A WHEEL ON EACH SIDE AND A FUNNEL IN THE MIDDLE!!!
All this frivolity has made me thirsty so its time for tiffin.  Bags I the chocolate Bikky. Regards, Walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.

I was wondering where all the snacks went. If Eddy keeps that up, he'll capsize the boat when he takes a leak off the side. Fess up now Eddy, I CAUGHT YOU.

I wondered why, when we were running the shoreline, women faces were turning red. I was looking out the galley window at the time. DID I SAY GALLEY, I ment engine room. lol
