Interesting this article, just one question why it's not direct in PDF??
Much easier to make an hard-copy.

 Best regards from Italy

Hey  Eddy Matthews from T.J. in Canada eh! I want to thank you for those articles on the Mississippi Riverboats. I have been looking for that series of articles for some time. I tried to purchase those issues off e-bay but got  out bid every time and they never had complete series. While I expect to start with a project a tad simpler like the alligator boat it is my hope to build a one man replica similar to that on the manned modelers site. Thanks again. Creating PDFs from a scanner.

Hi Eddy - if your scanner can scan to a printer, then there is some free software that will allow you to create PDFs. Its called CIB PDF Brewer, and it installs a 'print driver' that creates PDFs. Its free for personal non-commercial use.

Hi PD's...Eddy...another excellent free PDF conversion software 'deskPDF' is available for non commercial use...download from 'Downloads.com' it works as a print conversion and can be selected from the normal 'Print' function window in whatever package you happen to be in at the time...you can print the conversion directly, or can save it to file.

This one can convert from any printable file...word, CAD drawings and even photo's and pictures viewable on the more normal Paintshop pro type software.

This is the one I use and it is highly recommended.

I attach a print convertion from Paintshop pro to PDF (HMS Repulse) so you can see the typical results....BTW the original photo was a little blurred...camera shake...

Best regards, Eddy and all PD's and have a great Christmas and New year.
