International Model Boat Show
« Reply #15 on: November 16, 2005, 12:08:49 PM »
Nice display, Gerald... I well remember the  fantastic show you guys always used to put on at the Toronto International Boat  Show and Sportsman Show every year when I lived there.  And the pool is  HUGE.  Just look at the crowds.
 Â
I looked through all the pics but couldn't find too many  paddlers other than the two "die-hards" which still look excellent on the  water.  The Dumas "Mount Washington" always  looks stunning and in the picture, surprisingly stable...how did she  behave?  And that looks like John Brook's Alligator "Max" still  performing well again.  Can't you encourage some of your people to build  more paddlers?  Please let me know if I missed some in the  pictures.
 Â
In any case, you guys always put on a superb show and are a  wonderfully active and dynamic Model Boat Club.
 Well done!

 PJ

Hi all,
Not to be out done. I have listed a link to    the Metro Marine Modellers Website Gallery check under Hobby Show 2005. There    are a few paddlers show. http://www.ruthard.ca/MMMgalleries.html
Regards,
Gerald

Thanks for the link Gerald - To me it's always nice to    see photos from shows in other countries. It gets tiring seeing the same old    boats in England, so the foreign shows give something a bit more unusual to    look at.

Maybe we should have a forum for "Model Shows" where members    could tell us about shows they've organised, or shows they've visited? Not    just for paddlers, but for all marine models...

Let me know if you    think it would be a worthwhile addition to the site - I'll add it if there's    enough interest.

Regards
Eddy

Hi PJ,
There is a partial shot of a Hjejlen on one of the tables, unfortunately I think that completes the list. I will have to find my roundtooit and get one done myself.
Regards,
Gerald

Here's a link to photos taken at the St. louis Admirals Model Boat Show this year. This is the club I'm a member of, but I wasn't able to make the show this year.

A new area for "Model Shows" has been added to the forum, please feel free to use it to tell everyone about any shows you are organising, or any shows you've visited.
