Welcome to Paddleducks..... The home of paddle steamer modelling enthusiasts from around the world.
OK Tony - any job that's involved with the marine industry has its good points & if part of your induction is an insp : ection of a vessel you betta spill the beans & tell us what the new job is :news Let me guess - is it counting fish scales?, but no, no, no not the weighing variety but the little ones [scales that is] that keeps the fish flesh dry :?: My bet is 10:1, is that Sandy will out guess me with a better story within 24 hours - Derek
Well done Sandy, we all knew you'd rise to the challenge!Mind you, trying to defeat all the Aussies on this site single handed is probably a bit much even for a staunch Scot! :-)
Grief Eddy, can you remind me where exactly we found Sandy?Had a good look through this'un today:this one's the Avro Chieftain, a longliner that is leaving NZ waters in a week or so bound to Antarctica after Patagonian Toothfish. She runs a million hooks, 25 thousand per line. She leaves in ten days and will be in sub-Antarctic waters for close to 3 months. My window is second from left (shore-based - not porthole!) so there's no escaping the Kiwi just yet!Tony
