Hi all
There was a reference to this paddler on the MARHIST forum:-
SURUBI (1901)
Built Salto, Uruguay
Steel 300grt/263nrt 164.5x20.0x6.0 (depth) ft
engine by A. & J.Inglis , Glasgow
Paddle Compound 2 Cyl 16in&32-36in 51nhp
Owner: Cia. Argentina de Nav. (Nicolas Mihanovich) Ltda, Buenos Aires
Apparently she was in service on the River Plate till 1932.
I have learnt that a "surubi" is a large, tasty and popular freshwater fish which made a google search rather difficult (what is the Spanish for "paddle steamer"? - including "vapor" in the search produced a number of sites telling me how to steam fish!).
I did come up with this one - the links point to a couple of photographs and what looks like all the components necessary to build a paper model.
