Hi PD's - I am sort of reading between the lines here, but think I am not the only member who misses reading the daily postings of our members - so here is a question for Eddie, David & PJ

Could the current Guest Book folder be duplicated & titled as a message posting folder similar to our messages folder @ Yahoo? - I do understand the functionality of responding to a specific question or point in the forum section & that is great but as time progresses the number of topic points will be immense & the only way to see a new posting is to lock on & scroll to every forum topic

I would ask all PD's to ponder on this & come back with your thoughts & comments - Derek

I'm confused Derek..... The Guestbook is just that, a guestbook where users can leave a quick comment about the site, there's no way of searching for information within it. And probably more importantly from an operational point of view, there's no way of stopping anyone who abuses it other than deleting a message - We have no way of preventing access to it. It would also take us backwards in my opinion rather than forwards to a more flexible setup.

It's actually very easy to see any new posts on the forum, every forum with a new message is highlighted so it's easy to see which ones have new messages, or if you don't want to scroll through each forum, at the top right hand side of the main forum index page you'll see an option to "View posts since last visit" just click on that and it will display ALL new messages in every forum you have access to since you last called.

At a later date we also hope to add email capability so users can have individual emails or daily digests exactly as we had on Yahoo - They will also be able to reply via email if they want rather than logging onto the new website.  Unfortunately I cannot say exactly when that feature will be available as the software to do it is not yet stable enough to be usable.

Maybe I've misunderstood what your asking for? But anyway, I hope that helps?

Regards
Eddy
