Jamie...can you give us a little more info on your "Sirius"..I'm sure
I've run across two of them..certainly the famous one which crossed
the Atlantic just ahead of ISK's "Great Western" run in April 1838.
Somewhere I've read about another (or maybe the same one) on the
Pacific Coast. I just did a search of my model pic archives and I
came up with two images labeled "Sirius" and what look like a very
good model with ornate counter and paddleboxes! Did you send me
these? They came in just before my system went nuts at the end of
Feb. I compared them to the boxart for the Ebay model you mentioned
and they look identical.
This looks to be an older display wooden kit (the seller says 2'
8"..lovely display size) and the only word I can make out other
than "SIRIUS" 1837 is what might be the manufacturer....
STEINGRAEBER? STEINGRAFBER?, STEINGRAEBEK? STEINGRAFBEK?
Have you tried emailing the buyer yet?
