All - I have left the full string of communications here so as for all to

Thanks Stuart - I have forwarded your original communication back to myself
to save .DWG 4531 attachment, but would like to share with PD your comments
"reefing paddles, fixed floats, offset fixed floats and feathering floats" -
(I learn every day)

One of the more interesting points from DWG 4531 is that it is clear that
the
paddle shaft had bearing support outboard of the hull by some 1/3 if the
paddle
blade width due to the outboard/inboard construction of the wheel

I have re-read your great construction notes (has helped me immensely for
Decoy),
but cannot see (from your latest two posted snaps) if you have used this
same
construction detail

Again when I scale things down, Decoy's paddle blade immersion depth will be
about half way between the A & B noted on DWG 4531 - I was a little
concerned re potential cavitation but not now - did some calcs on Friday
evening, and the total weight of both wheels (in brass) (negating paddle
shaft)
is in the order of 0.38 Kg - so brass they will be
