Suter drawings

Hi George,

Did you manage to make any progress with the drawings for the "Suter"?

I'd love to build it, and any info you can give to help would be
greatly appreciated.

Hi Eddy,

Yes, as a matter of fact I have completed a full size
sheet in Auto Cad of the Suter. I have a plan view,
port side view, views from the bow and stern with
assorted views of some of the smaller details. I have
also included some text on the history and building
tips. I have no dimensions on the drawing but there is
a full length scale printed at the bottom of the page
which can be used to scale the views to any size the
builder would like. To actually take each piece and
dimension it would be a huge project in itself. The
drawings are of the clarity that every part can be
scaled right from the drawing with a little bit of
constructors license. I don't know anyone that would
argue with it as I couldn't find any dimensional
information while gathering history of the ship. If
you would like to see a small copy of the drawing
contact me off line and give me your address and I
would be happy to send you one so that you can get an
idea of what I have. If you like what you see I would
find out what it would cost to send you a full size
sheet and for a nominal fee for a mailing tube,
postage etc. I would be happy to send you one. If you
have any other questions please contact me as I don't
want to use the Paddleducks board as a marketplace.

George..Paddleducks IS a FORUM of ideas and information..a crossroads
of information in the centre of out online "dillage"..and so is the
"marketplace". There are no rules regarding "advertising" in
Paddleducks...other than absolutely no "spamming" which is rather
different. I have no problems with any Paddlduck Member who wants to
talk about their business or has a service RELEVANT to our interest in
Paddle wheelers and paddlewheeler models. It would be a disservice to
to prevent this free flow of information. The high quality of our
members ensures that that this will never be abused..and if it
does..well this is why you have a moderator!

Thanks for the clarification Paul. I was going to email you about
this privately, but you've already answered my question.

I don't know what it is about the Suter, but I just think it's a
gorgeous looking boat, and Georges model is a beauty! Well done buddy.

Yep I think our policy makes sense, Eddy. I have a real problem with
those groups that do not permit ANY advertising/promotion no matter
how relevant is is to the group. As a general rule of thumb..a one
time "announcement" is fine and also periodic "promotional
announcements" of a Member's business, service or Website when there
is a new product, price change, or relevant topic of interest to the
group.
