HI
My name is Trev Benney
I am a 73 year old retired marina manager.
I restored and lived on a 1927 Elco.
I have just completed the Dumas Typhoon, once I saw it I had to build it.
Now I am about to build the Dumas Mt Washington.
Having visited Lake Winnipesaukee many times I feel a connection. I also have an affinity for Side Wheelers.
Has anyone installed a steam engine in this vessel?
Thanks,
Trev

Hello Trev and a large wellcome to one of the most agreeable sites on the tinternet! I too have looked at Mount washington as a potential working model but the kit cost is too much for me in the UK. Looking at that large handsome superstructure I think you could hide a reasonable size boiler inside.  Over many years on PADDLEDUCKS there have been many similiar models built . A search through the very Large photo sections may turn something up. I seem to remember about 20-25 years ago an article in The american magazine Scale ship modeler or ships in scale on this paddler. Best of luck and a hearty welcome to you. Keep us posted on developments and any questions you may have. Regards, Walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.
