Thanks Denis and yes PS Decoy paddeled under her own power from Melbourne to
Goolwa after assembly, and later to Perth but was towed back to SA - whilst
I cannot see any navigation lights in her photographs I will use your
comments as reference and install them etc

However for your PS EMMA - I quote from the earlier noted text

EMMA - Official number 89337 Iron paddle steamer - (possibly composite) - 50
gross - 37 net - 73.6x18.6x4.7 (feet & inches) - Built February 1885 Wilson
& Burkett, Echuca. Portable HP steam engine - 25 NHP
(sometimes said to be ex VESTRA) - Owners TH Freeman - registered Sydney -
September 1888 - WL Keir - Echuca, October 1888 GS Fowler & Walter Howard,
July 1889 FD Kerridge & Jas Balchin - river traders Morgan - December 1919
(ANZ 1914) (Davie, Price & Co) - MJ Pierce - September 1924 - L&C Anderson,
September 1925 - Christiani & Nelson (Aust) Pty Ltd - Register closed
with"supposed lost
about 1929" - While reportedly built for use on the Murrumbidgee & Edwards
rivers, she
was working on the Darling in 1887 at least

I am more than happy to scan in this text & a small photograph and e-mail
them to you, or
if you prefer could photocopy & post same to you - please let me know

You will note that I have addressed this communication directly to you, but
also to the
paddleduck group - the forum in paddleducks (via members) is totally open
across the
globe - you may not think that anyone else (outside Australia) is interested
in your or our
experiences - but I sure like to read & digest all communications re
paddleships or
paddleduck members

regards Derek
