Paddleboats

Hi All, I am Denis Kerr from the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia.
I was captain of a 96 foot paddleboat on the Murray River for a
couple of years and during that time bought a 20' paddleboat
and "jomboised" her to 32'. Now have the urge to build again.

WELCOME! WELCOME! WELCOME! DENIS! Paddleducks now has a Real Paddler
Captain who can tell us what it is ACTUALLY like to "drive" one of
these things! I can only imagine the thrill of PILOTING a REAL
Paddlewheeler..and especially a 96 footer, and I can think of it as
a sensation multiplied by the scale we make our models in! By
building your OWN ship, you are fulfilling the longing of a number of
us here in this forum who one day dream of setting off down the river
into a red sunset and sweet oblivion accompanied by the hypnotic thud
of floats striking the water!

Please send us pictures of your command and regail us often with
stories of the Murray River..this intriguing area has greatly captured
our imagination, and I would never have heard of it had it not been
for this forum and our OZ paddler friends.
