Here's is what I have dug about about Trotman's anchors. Hope this helps. There are lots of pictures, on 1 has some actual measurements, and one with measurements in text. Originally Holiball secured the patent on Porter's behalf, then Trotman made improved anchor on the Porter original. There was a big push for the Navy to adopt it and they may have but most commercial ships seem to have done so.
