Howdy, from Texas
« on: December 19, 2014, 08:22:29 AM »
Howdy!  Thought I'd already introduced myself, but the automated monitor thing says I need to post, so, evidently I forgot.

Mostly, I followed images and asked a few questions, on a sidewheeler, the "Eliza-Ann".  Never seen those side-decks/catwalks, or floats/outriggers under them.  Now, I understand they are to prevent tipping of a top-heavy, or, other instability.

In the midst of hammering out a design for a small(ish) sternwheeler...  24 ft hull, plus arms and wheels, about 30 ft LOA, and about 8 ft trailering-beam, with fold-down side decks of about 18 inches, each.

Goal is to be electric/hybrid, with capacity for short trips by battery and batteries maintained/trickle-charged by solar panels.  Anything beyond that will need a generator set.

I come to the site fairly regular, guess I just haven't said anything, until now...
Later,
Jeff F.
