PS Emmylou & namesake
« on: May 05, 2013, 03:18:51 PM »
I was listening to some Jerry Lee Lewis music while working on RNV, and up popped up a duet:
Jerry Lee with Emmylou Harris 'Crazy arms', www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8gRBkQ5puk
She was the singer after whom the paddlesteamer was named.

Searching on her name in youtube brings up lots of music.  It was hard to find one related to paddlesteamers, but try 'Wheels', which is song 149 in a playlist at
www.youtube.com/watch?v=35h4UIZKPUs&playnext=1&list=PL15266DAD02C3EE80
Or track 19: 'Born to run', and track 77 couples it with 'Driving wheel'.
41: 'Beneath still waters' sounds ominous.
61: 'I'm movin on' has promise.

What a shame she didn't write a song for the Emmy - actually it'd probably be called "I'm stuck on a sandbar" :)
