Hello for Hornchurch in East London UK
« on: May 05, 2013, 08:33:41 AM »
Hello All

My name is Steve and i live in the UK. My main interest is now Model Engineering but some 35 years ago i used to make model boats. I rather fancied having a go at a steam launch. I am 54 now and still working for a living so i don't get much time in the workshop. Some time ago i came across this forum and i downloaded Malcolms MB22 engine plans but as I class myself as a beginner i didn't think i had the skills to make one. I set about making a different engine and finished my first engine around Christmas. It was on display at the London Ally Pally show on my club stand. Whilst wandering around the show i noticed Malcolms model "Cyril" on display at another stand. This has fired up my interest again to attempt the MB22.

i might be able to do a build thread if you think it's ok on here. It wont progress very quickly though.

Photo of my finished first engine attached.

regards

Steve
