I hope that I am not intruding on this forum since it is not really a boat but since the top section of the body was originally made by Robertson Canoe Co., I thought it might be interesting for the members. The removable upper body sections are made just like the vintage cedar and canvas canoes. The cedar slats are steam bent and formed over a wooden form, then covered in canvas and painted. I'm considering using flame resistant Nomex with a fire resistant coating.I may use oxygen free copper sheet, instead of wood for the canoe framing.
