Brazilian steam frigate Amazonas

Below you will find a line drawing of the Brazilian frigate Amazonas drawn by Dean Stehman. That's one of the best drawings of her that I have seen, but it's not based on the original plans. I remember that when Paddleducks were still one of the Yahoo Groups someone mentioned that the original plans of that ship may still exist.

My question is, have those plans been located?

I would like to build a virtual 3D model of the Amazonas, so a good set of hull lines would be very useful. I have the reconstructed cross sections from Alvanir de Carvalho's paper about her, but something more detailed would be of much help.

All the best,
Kaz

Funnily enough, a friend at my model boat club came down with a model he's been working on today..... It's a 3 masted topsail schooner called M A James, which to me looks very similar to the Amazonas hull.

A commercially made hull is available from a UK company called Models By Design http://www.modelsbydesign.co.uk/model_boats.aspx So they may be able to help with drawings for that boat which could be used?
