The annual Isle of Wight Model Engineers Rally was today, here are some pictures. KC sailed well. Another member brought along his model of 'Gracie Fields' made by Sid Hendicott. Sid built the basic structure and the owner did the finer details. After swapping the controls we tried to take some pics of the two paddlers together...a hard task and not easy owing to the wake from other boats shifting them! There were more boats-about 20 in total- I could not take more photos because my camera had low memory! All in all an enjoyable day. If you are ever down on the Island, be sure to visit, they have Track and Pond meetings on the first Saturday of each month and on 26th/27th September is their bi-annual exhibition. They do not give directions and it is not easy to find so if you are going give me a buzz via email or PM and I can give you some directions.

They also had some very nice steam locos

And I wasn't going without a drive!

That Gracie Fields looks good, 1/32 scale? seems about right compared to the KC, looks similar in many ways to Princess Elizabeth...
Of course the Kingswear also looks great there, I haven't see many of those around either (only one, in fact!)
