Not sure where to post this, so if admin could move it to it's correct place, that'd be great...thanks.
Having sold that Forest Classics kit, I had a look around for a paddler to build (or rather, one that I could build...), and I came across this...a sternwheeler plan from Glynn Guest named Wrigley 121 (where on earth does he find these names?) Anyway, it fits my criteria perfectly...easy (ish) to build, and a convenient size and weight.
I'm planning on altering the superstructure a bit, and converting it into one of those inland passenger ferry type vessels that our colonial cousins use and abuse...you know the ones, they carry everything from people, cattle, cargo, more or less anything.
I've found the Model Boats magazine (October 2012) on eBay, complete with plan, so that's on it's way as I type. I'm not that much good with wood, so it will be built mainly from styrene sheet, and I'm hoping that good old Andy at Models By Design can be persuaded to cut the parts out for me on his cnc cutting machine, same as he did for my MotorFlote (which is now finished)
So, there we go, boys n' girls...as they say in all the best places, "watch this space".
