Question on paddler day 2007
« on: July 24, 2008, 12:16:39 AM »
Hello Eddie, I have a question about the photos from paddler day 2007. There are two gentlemen with sternwheelers. I would like to get some general information on there projects.
Could you help me?
Regards, Brian

Sadly, very few notes were taken at last years show Brian - We hope to improve on that situation this year!! So I'm afraid I cannot tell you the names of the gentlemen that brought the two sternwheelers. I believe I;m correct in saying that they were from the Bury model boat club though?

Perhaps Walter Snowdon can remember? He has a MUCH better memory than mine!

Regards
Eddy

Eddy, Sorry for the misspelling of your name.  Thanks for the quick reply.  I purchased a set
of plans for the Sternwheeler W.H. Bancroft from John L. Fryant and I noticed a close
resemblance to one of the ships from the 2007 paddler day.  I noticed the two models in the
photos seem to be built on the same hull.  I was curious what scale they are and if they used
a commercially available hull. Just general information like that.  I wish I could attend this
years Paddler day but the trip is a bit far from San Diego. Looking forward to seeing the
photos from this years event. Regards, Brian
