I'm currently playing around with the code that handles image attachments in messages.... The code we were using didn't diplay the filename or download counter etc, which made it impossible to actually search for an image, or see how popular a file was.
The old code also didn't allow you to "save" an image with a meaningful filename, it just defaulted to "index" as the filename, which lets face it was pretty useless!!
So now, the filenames and download counters are back, and if you click on the text link below an image, you can either view or save the file using the correct filename - I will continue to work on it over the next few days, as there are still a few areas I'd like to improve on...
My thanks to Roderick Smith for bringing this (and some other points) to my attention, thereby forcing me to get off my backside and do something
