Medway Queen
« on: April 19, 2008, 06:54:15 AM »
If you look at the main menu on the left of your screen, you will see we have a new option "Medway Queen".

The Medway Queen preservation Society has made sterling efforts over the last 20 years or more to save this historic vessel, and after numerous setbacks, they have now won funding from the National Lottery to build a new hull.

However, to get this funding, they have to raise a substantial amount of money themselves, to continue the work, so we have added the "Medway Queen" page to our website to make it easy for anyone to make a donation to help their valiant cause. No matter how small the donation, they all help. So please consider clicking on one of the links on that page to help them..... The transactions are done on a secure server, so your personal data is safe, and payments go directly to the MQPS, we at Paddleducks are only providing the link, we never get our hands on any monies that are donated!

I've started the ball rolling by making a donation myself, and I hope that others will do likewise. Just a few Pounds/Dollars/Euros - It doesn't have to be a huge sum!

Regards
Eddy

Hi PD's......I acknowledge Eddy that each Pound or tin can full of Pennies all help

.....in OZ we have the RFDS [Royal Flying Doctor Service]...which essentially is a NON Profit  :respect way of flying doctors & nurses over our vast land to the needy ....it is also headquartered in close proximity to our Murray River...& I help the RFDS in a very small way each year

Our OZ members will remember "From the Source to the Sea" video was an RFDS promotion......how is my copy going with you Sandy?  :whistle :hehe....no I don't want it back..........I purchased a second copy........However for ever good story...there is an :offtopic ....my humble Company donated $100 AUD to a local Government sponsored "Help Kids with Cancer" foundation...two weeks later received the letter of thanks & the official receipt for taxation.......

THEN    :ranting :ranting :ranting ...every week since then, I have received letters to my Company asking for donations to charities....hundreds of them!

Someone has sold my Company name via a computer listing .......which is wrong...now all of the letters go into the bin  :crash
