Web Cam !
« on: November 29, 2007, 05:49:41 PM »
Hi folks,

Just to let all of you out there know that 'Echuca - Moama' now has its very own  Web Cam, it's mounted on the Wharf, and it probably captures more action than the all of the others combined, - as there are 2 near Mannum, 2 at Mildura and some at Albury.

To view the Web Cam, simply go to the Echuca Moama website - (www.echucamoama.com/),  and the Cam will then appear on the home page.
At last we can all keep a close eye on the largest concentration of Paddle Steamers on the planet, from pretty much anywhere on the planet !

Enjoy !!!

Cheers,
Regards,

Leith Hall

Hi PD's....Leith...when we pan  :computer across PS Pevensey.. we see the tank on the top deck is not CUSTOM ORB corrugiated iron...but rather a similar profile...but more interesting appears to be open to atmosphere

Imagine all of the dead flying fox's, possum's & others that ended in the tank  :offtopic........ :sorry

I saw it there the other day on the wharf, I thought it was some kind of light, pretty cool to use.
I'll give you a wave when I'm down there next!

Just used the web cam, you can see Tooraloora has been taken off the slip and moored in front of Britannia.

Hi,

I logged on Sunday afternoon and watched the Pev. & A.A. coming and going !
The Emmylou & the Pride were cruising also, however I didn't see the Canberra this time.
I can see that the river level has risen slightly, but there must be a lot of shallow water in front of the Pev, because the AA is moored a long way out from the bank.
I noticed that the A.A. now has some sort of funnel extension, not sure on where the spark arrestor is though.

The Cam couldn't have been put in a better spot, you can see all the way down to where the Hero is moored - then up to the Onion Patch (Wet Dock Area, and then all the way up to the Bridge.

Cheers,
Regards,

Leith Hall

I went on a few days ago, and was lucky to have something approaching from under the bridge in my opening scene.  Then I had a frustrating time looking at the water, and the deck of the wharf, and could not pick up a new image of boats.  The movement is quite jerky.

One problem for members of this group: the 10 (sometimes 9 and sometimes 11) hour time change from Echuca to UK; USA fares little better.  For years I could tell when world cup soccer was on: all my clients were asleep because they had been up to 2.00 watching it.

How to cheat when the water is down: just show a prerecorded day from a good year.
