paddleducks won't recognize me on another computer.  I purchased a laptop computer for traveling but I can't sign in on PD even when I use my password.  I tried a the new pass word by using forgot my pass word but it still won't let me sign on.  The old password still works on this puter.

Bill,

You'll almost certainly find it's a security setting on your new computer - The forum needs cookies to work (small files that contain user data), and they will probably be blocked either by anti-virus software or by your firewall.

Try reducing the level of secuity that is set for Paddleducks slightly - Don't turn it off completely! Just reduce it's aggressiveness.

Eddy,

my main puter is a Mac. In the past I have never had to know about the techy jargon adn its use.  The new puter is a Vista with Windows 2007 on board.  I have a huge learning curve before I can under stand what you are teling me. :hammer  :sorry  I got the PC laptop because it was protable for a lot less money than a Mac.  I didn't know what I was getting into.  now I have to spread my limited brain power thinner to use the PC.   :darn   :crash

Don't worry Bill - You aren't alone!! :)

Are you using Microsoft Explorer as your web browser?

If you are, go to the paddleducks website, then at the bottom right of the screen on your web browser you'll see a globe and the word Internet next to it, double click on that - Click on "Trusted Sites", and then click on the box that says "Sites"..... The paddleducks website address should be inserted by default, if it isn't, type in the full address - Then click on "Add".

You may then have to close and restart Internet Explorer for it to read the new settings - I'ts a quirky program at the best of times!

See what happens after doing that.... It sounds difficult, but only only takes a minute or so to do. If you still have problems get back to me and we'll look at different settings.

If you look at the box that has that message in it, you'll see a small box at the bottom that says "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" - Just click on the box and remove the "Tick" - It will then accept a normal web address...
