Hi there pd's. My name is Chris Monk and I hail from Crawley in West Sussex. I have been building RC model boats for about 25 years and I sort of specialize in paddlers (in other words I will build anything that takes my fancy). I prefer to build in styrene sheet and have perfected a simple system for constructing reasonably good looking paddles from it. Mine was the small paddle launch that was photoed at the resent kew show. I am currently working on a Murry River steamer that will also be built in styrene. The cad drawings are done and I have just started on the hull. Oh yes its in 1:35 with laser cut paddles in acrylic (done by a fellow Crawley m.b.c. club member).
Oh well back to the shed.

It's good to have you with us Chris... perhaps you could post a few photos of your models?
The paddlewheels are the one area that put most people off building a paddler, so if you have a method that you could share with us it would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure a lot of members would like to hear about it!
