Hi from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Nice to meet you guys. I am an rc modeller, used to scratch building planes and stuffs. Lately I aquired a lathe, a drill mill and a brand new
bandsaw. The live steam topics got me interested, and I hope to learn
and contribute a few to the forum.
Thank You.

Hi Derek,
You are right, it's just a name. When I learned to fly 3D with the Thundertiger Raptor 50 helicopter, they said I flew like a drunken man, you know what I mean, and infact I like the name, so why not.... thats how the drunkenraptor was born.
Now about this steam stuff, I operated machines for about 6 years and I am quite familiar with them, the question now is you guys got a lot of super duper design, all are mouth watering, but then as a newcomer, its hard for me to make a choice. Any reccomendations will be highly appreciated.
Got to start somewhere....
Thank You.

OK... may we call you 'DKR' as your name here in PD's :?: .......

so you ask...got a lot of super duper design, all are mouth watering

Yes DKR...model steam it is mouth watering to many [me included], but the subject is many hundreds of years in the making.....so what you may consider as 'super duper' may also be of similar vintage

Read & consider more...............

Hi DKR,
When I first read you name I figured you must be another Torontonian, after all our Basketball team is called the "Raptors". Then I read on and discovered that you have a logical reason for you name (unlike our Basketball team). Welcome to the group.
Regards,
Gerald
