howdy folks.. the gnome from Virginia checking in.

the name comes from my advocation as a profesional brewer out here
considering I was a homebrewer I seemed to have messed up a perfectly good hobby by turning pro so I had to get into RC so as to not drive my poor bride nuts.

I have a keen intrest in learning about/ useing Live steam for propolsion and in my travels on the interweb.. these forums appear to be the only people disscussing its use.

My current craft is a Midwest steam launch imploying a standard prop drive, that I'm useing to learn theory and all that good stuff..

all the while having the pipe dream of building a scale Steam fired stern wheel river boat replical to ply the waters of my local parks

Firstly, welcome to Paddleducks....

As a professional brewer and someone who likes steamers and paddlers you should fit in perfectly! :)

You'll find most of the chat on steamers (of all descriptions) in the "Live steam" message area. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have there, and maybe even post a few photos of your Midwest steamer?
~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~
