Hi there.
Anyone thinking of modelling, or just interested in, Kingswear Castle or Dartmouth Castle should take a look at the Model Engineer magazine for 1st -14 April. (My copy has only just arrived!! It comes via Zurich which may account for the time lag!!)
There are five and half pages dedicated to discussing the paddlers of the river Dart with particular reference to the above two vessels. The article is written with modellers in mind and gives a great deal of detail information. There are a number of drawings shown together with the hull lines.
The author has managed to get a number of original drawings from Cox,the builders so has gathered a very good resource. He states that he is prepared to answer questions passed through the editor of the Model Engineer.
Well worth a read by anyone interested in paddle ships.
All the best
David

that does sound interesting, you can also get the diagram (plan) from nexus, I think, and I have a book 'passenger steamers of the river dart' which I got on board waverley one year which has some diagrams in it (though not ideal for modelling from I guess)
