Hi PD's - a bit quiet in our postings? - sure but lets not worry - in a little over one year our PD group has grown from the first 50 [ODD] members to 312 members - as you know I am not an accounant but today I see 31 people have logged on, 14 members, 14 guests & 3 hidden - so we are getting a hit rate of 10%

Oh BTW - I am not trying to suggest that the first 50 members were.... :?:    :?: .

I for one do not want to bore all with..... 'yes I have just bent another section of 1/8" brass steam tube & it thrown in the bin' & post a snap of a bit of bent out of shape brass tube - not sure...... like I do have a new GAZaTANK enroute from Sandy [ACS Engineering] in Scotland..... but this is of little interest to all but those 1/24 scale CREW in Decoys boiler room :boom

So any PD that has any thoughts, comments or  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?: ............, please post them

regards Derek in OZ :D

Hi PD's - a bit quiet in our postings?

Yes, very quiet Derek. The sad thing is that for every 100 users that join the forum, only about 10% will ever post a message, and perhaps 2% will do so on anything like a regular basis :-(

I've said before that unless users post these sites die - That's not an idle threat, it's a fact of life. If the number of messages dwindle people get tired of logging in as there's nothing new to see, so it becomes a viscious circle...

If anyone has suggestions on how to get more people to participate I'm more than happy to listen and implement changes if need be.

Don't forget we're dealing with an extremely minority area of model boating, so we need all the posts and photos etc that we can get. Sitting back and waiting for others to post interesting topics is a sure fire way of losing this website! So if your building something tell us about it, if your planning a future project ask for information, if your researching a particular vessel tell us what you've found, maybe we can add more?

Even if you aren't actually building a paddler or doing research on one, then TALK to each other in the "Off Topic" forum or join us on a thursday evening (9pm UK time) for a chat in the ChatRoom. We're a bunch of people with similar interests, so there must be something you have to say?

And finally, we also have message forums for None-Paddler models, so use those to tell us about your other model boats.

Okay, rant over - But please take my comments on-board....

Its' great to see that quite a few people have posted today - Lots of very interesting topics!

As I said earlier, we need new topics to keep people visiting and generate even more posts. If the posts die so does the website!

I have to say I'm extremely pleased to see that at least a few users seem to have taken my comments on-board. So, Please please please keep up the good work guys.  :yeah
