I just looked at a snap of "12 volt bulbs" on PS Caledonia as posted by "hippobooks" on 3/7/2002

Looks pretty close to life like - in the night with ships lights - do we know much more about this model?

regards Derek

Hello Derek,

I built the model of the Caledonia as a static model complete with
interior details to a scale of 1:48. The hull has been contructed
from plywood frames and balsa planks. However to obtain a good
surface for the hull I copied the hull plates onto thin plasticard
and glued this to the balsa with impact adhesive. Perfect surface for
paint. The 12 volt bulbs are quite effective but I have reduced the
voltage to 9 volts through a transformer as none of the bulbs can be
replaced.
Did you check my Waverley photo?

Regards Robert
