Bert Learmonth said Hello to all - Thank you Paul for the very warm welcome

Hi Bert - from Derek Warner in Australia - I think PD's are lucky to have you on board with
us and I am interested in the posted photograph of Nasookin - engines (5/6/2002)

This snap looks supurb - I understand the principal of how the wheel rotates, but where did you
get the brass gear sets - forgive me but I am correct in that do I see just one motor - then with
helical gearing followed by straight cut spur gears - then a worm & worm wheel - then finally transferred
to the rotating Al discs with eccrintics to convert it all back linear motion then back to eccentrics
to rotate the wheel - again a superb shot - what sort of paddle shaft RPM do you use? - is Nasookin
approx 5 foot long???

I am about a year or so into a 1/24 scale Australian side wheeler & she is powered by a 12 V car
windscreen wiper motor (60 RPM free speed 1.1 amps) then belt driven up by 3.5 : 1- so I have
no need to understand too much, but am fasinitated by the engineering of your drive as I am sure
all other PD's will be

So if you have time to come back with a page or two of detail - again I am sure we will all enjoy it

regards Derek Warner
