Hello from Moline, Illinois
« on: May 06, 2016, 11:26:12 PM »
hey there guys if anyone is from the scale R/C Plane community you will know me. for those of you that dont let me give a little background.

I have been into Scale R/c Planes for many decades. I also do a lot of designing using Solidworks 3D Cad Software and have designed and built aircraft for the military, movies, and museums. My last major movie work was for director Angelina Jolie's UNBROKEN where I designed and helped build the full scale B-24 used in the movie, did a full scale P-51D for ft meyers airport terminal, and full scale Predator and Prowler models for the airforce base in north east florida (brain fart at moment on name I think starts with an H) they are the base that is flying the drones overseas

so as you can see I am very detail oriented and anal on my projects. I want to get into boats and have always loved the steam paddle wheelers my favorites are the side wheelers. so my first goal is to find a set of plans or drawings and do some 3D modelling and get me something to build and detail.

I dont do anything small so I would probably be looking in the 5 and 5 ft long range. I have seen some regular plans on the web but they are usually of old 50s and 60s cruisers etc which isnt my thing so someone pointed me to this site figuring I could get some help here coming up with some kind of paddle wheeler.

well thats a small abt me thanks for the invite

Joe
