  Hi i'm Tim Skinner from Wellington, New Zealand. I was born in the U.K., 128 miles from the sea, but I have had a lifelong interest in ships and boats of all kinds. I had many happy trips on paddlesteamers as a child, and more recently on the restored 100+ year old Wai Marie on the Wanganui River in New Zealand.
I built wooden models of the SS Sirius and SS Great Britain as a teenager. I have served with the RNZN Naval Reserve and currently own a 79 year old classic wooden yacht named 'Anita'.
I am also a member of The Maritime Friends of Wellington, Maritime Archaeological Society of New Zealand and an associate member of The New Zealand Ship and Marine Society.

welcome to this site, have you got  photos  of your old classic yacht, I like to see the old boats, if they have been well maintained or being restored. what are you planning on building next.
