Paddle horse power

Check this out..you HAVE to visit this URL...you'll be quite amazed as
we discover a world of paddlers I, for one, never knew existed....it's
not a joke but a method of propulsion developed by Rufus Porter in New
York and gave rise to the term "Horse Ferries"... apparently they
plied Lake Champlain successfully for 20 years and even had vessels
with 6 horses on them....that's about the equivalent power today of a
small Johnson outboard isn't it???

Oh BTW..I'm only suggesting this as a STATIC modeling subject..unless
one of you bright sparks can figure out how to move the horses' legs
by R/C!!
